This policy explains what information Digitnix collects, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose: we are a technology consultancy, not a data business, and we collect only what we need to talk to you and run our services.
1. Who we are
Digitnix is a technology consultancy based in Canada. We provide tech strategy, architecture, software development and engineering leadership to companies and organizations.
Legal entity: Digitnix Technologies, based in Manitoba, Canada.
For anything related to this policy, contact us at dpo@digitnix.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- the website digitnix.com; and
- applications and tools that Digitnix operates under its own name and that link to this policy — including those where you sign in with a Google account.
Products that Digitnix operates under a separate brand (for example, InteLaudo) may publish their own privacy terms. Where they do, those terms govern that product.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you send us
When you e-mail us or book a call, we receive what you choose to share: typically your name, e-mail address, organization and the content of your message. Calls booked through Cal.com are scheduled by Cal.com, which handles that booking under its own terms and privacy policy.
3.2 Google account information (Sign in with Google)
Some Digitnix applications let you sign in with your Google account. When you do, Google shares with us your basic profile information: your name, e-mail address, profile picture and a Google account identifier.
We use this information only to authenticate you, to check whether you are authorized to access the application, and to show who is signed in. Signing in does not give us access to the contents of your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar or any other Google data — we only request basic profile information.
Digitnix's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this information, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate the application or as described in this policy.
3.3 Usage information
Like most websites, digitnix.com uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the page that referred you. This relies on cookies and similar identifiers (see section 6). Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and request details, for security and operations.
4. How we use information
- to respond to your messages and follow up on conversations you started;
- to provide, secure and support the applications you sign in to;
- to understand how our website is used and improve it;
- to protect our services against abuse, fraud and unauthorized access; and
- to keep the business records a company reasonably needs to keep.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information we hold to serve you advertising.
5. How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our applications, and only to the extent needed for that purpose:
- Google — website hosting (Firebase Hosting on Google Cloud), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Fonts and Sign in with Google;
- Cal.com — scheduling of calls you book through our site;
- content delivery networks that serve scripts and assets used by the site.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by a valid legal request from a competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Digitnix, our clients or the public.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
digitnix.com sets analytics cookies through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. They help us count visits and understand which content is useful; they do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without these cookies.
7. How long we keep information
- Messages and inquiries — for as long as the conversation is active, and afterwards only as part of ordinary business records.
- Google account information — for as long as you are authorized to use the application; when authorization ends, we remove or anonymize it within a reasonable period.
- Analytics data — for a limited period, after which it is aggregated or deleted.
8. Where information is processed
We operate from Canada. The service providers listed above may store and process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. Whenever that happens, the information remains subject to this policy and to the commitments of those providers.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold — access to our applications is restricted to authorized accounts, data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and credentials are never stored in our code repositories. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to dpo@digitnix.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
- You can revoke the access you granted to a Digitnix application at any time from your Google account permissions page.
- You can control analytics cookies as described in section 6.
11. Children
Our website and applications are intended for professionals and organizations and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle Google account information will be communicated to the people affected.
